So I have persevered and my blanket has grown little by little. I have taken it on all our camping trips and worked on it at night during university holidays but there have also been long periods while I was studying that no progress was made at all.
But it is done (bar sewing in the tails of the wool) and covers a double bed easily.

I used 5 different colours in the blanket |
What have you been making lately?
Well done it looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm struggling to even teach myself to crochet.
Thanks Cheryl Once you get the hand of a basic stitch I recommend just doing lots of it so you feel confident. That's what I did.
DeleteHow lovely is that? Well Done. Nesting continues.
ReplyDeleteHaha yes nesting sort of, more so trying to get things finished before he arrives.
DeleteLooks great. Nice and cosy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracy
DeleteWhat a beautiful big snuggly blanket, you will get lots of use from that, well done.
ReplyDeleteAs peanut will be a warm weather baby you could get some lovely soft cotton and do a baby size that will be very useful and it is lovely to wrap your baby in something you have handmade.
Margaret my sister in laws mum has made us a lovely cotton blanket for Peanut so we are already blessed with that.
DeleteI love crocheting blankets, congratulations on finishing yours. I really like the colour combination you used. As the hot weather is not too far away I would be inclined to leave any more crocheting until the cooler weather returns, also babies tend to take up a lot more time than people think they do.
ReplyDeleteJan thanks for the tip. As a first time parent I have all these grand ambitions that I am sure will go out the window.
